Another year [almost] in the books. We feel great that we get to do what we do: Enabling our customers in different industries to enhance and elevate their products and services with our embeddable technologies, such as Device Recognition powered by Fing.
It’s been a big year – not only for our team, but for our incredible community of partners and contributors, too, for which we are very thankful! Before we jump into 2023, let’s look back at the most important details of this year.
The number of unique identified devices increased from 1 billion to over 1.3 billion, providing you with powerful and unmatched device recognition.
For unrivaled device context, our Device Catalog enriches identified devices with detailed product metadata that is usually not discoverable, such as release and end-of-life dates, references to documentation and support, and available smart-home integrations. This year we added many new brands, devices, and operating systems, significantly enlarging our catalog.
In 2022 we focused a lot on the lifecycle of devices and operating systems (EOS and EOSL) which give customers actionable insight into e.g. vulnerabilities. Here are the top brands we have been updating:
Lastly, we launched the Developer Portal which provides developers with everything they need for easy building with our embedded technologies. Also, we’ve made it easier for our customers to get started with our APIs and SDKs by introducing a seamless online payment system for our Start-up and Pro license packages.
As this year is coming to an end, we at Lansweeper Embedded Technologies hope you close off 2022 on a positive note. We wish you and your loved ones all the best for 2023.
